Quick answers about getting started, payments on TON, and managing your account.
Getting started
How do I create an account?
Sign up with your email or log in with Telegram, Google or GitHub in a couple of taps — no long forms. Once you're in, set up a client profile to hire, a talent profile to get hired, or both at once.
How do I connect a TON wallet?
Open your profile, choose to connect a TON wallet and confirm the connection in your wallet app. Talents only ever sees your public address — your keys and seed phrase stay with you.
What's the difference between a client profile and a talent profile?
A client profile lets you post projects, review proposals and hire. A talent profile lets you showcase your work, send proposals and get paid. You can switch between them at any time from the site header.
How much does Talents cost?
The service fee is 5% per deal, and half that — 2.5% — for deals in NOT or GRC. Clients with larger volumes get a progressive discount: 4.5%, 4% and 3% after $5k, $10k and $50k. Network fees on TON are low and predictable.
How do I move my profile or proposal to the top?
Premium placement lifts your profile or proposal to the top of the list. It's a paid promotion, priced in GRAM.
Payments & escrow
How does escrow work?
When a contract starts, the agreed budget is locked in an escrow smart contract on the TON network. The funds sit safely on-chain and are released to the talent as each milestone is approved — clients only pay for accepted work, and talents know the budget is real.
What are milestones?
A contract is split into milestones — up to 10 per contract. Each milestone has its own amount and deadline and is paid out separately once the client accepts it.
Which currencies are supported?
Payments and escrow work in four currencies: GRAM, USDT, NOT and GRC. All settlement happens on The Open Network with low, predictable fees.
When do I get paid?
As soon as the client approves a milestone — or stays silent for 72 hours, which accepts it automatically — the smart contract sends that amount to your connected wallet in the contract's currency, usually within minutes.
Can the client get their money back?
Before work starts — yes: the client can take back the entire remaining budget at any moment. Once the talent starts work, the budget stays locked until milestones are accepted, disputed or expire.
What if the talent misses a deadline?
After a milestone's deadline the talent has another 24 hours to deliver and sign it. If that window passes too, the client can return that milestone's funds from escrow.
What happens if there's a disagreement?
Either side can open a dispute on a milestone. The escrowed funds stay locked in the smart contract — Talents never controls the money and acts only as a mediator: the team reviews the evidence from both sides, and the smart contract itself executes the decision. Nobody walks away with money for work that was not done.
Account & security
Is Talents custodial? Do you hold my funds?
No. Talents is fully non-custodial. Your money lives in escrow smart contracts and in your own wallet. We never take custody of funds and have no access to your private keys.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in page press “Forgot password?” and enter your email — we will send you a reset link. If you signed up with Telegram, Google or GitHub, just sign in with that provider again.
Does Talents support two-factor authentication?
Yes. Enable 2FA in Settings → Security with any authenticator app — you will be asked for a one-time code when signing in.
How do I manage notifications?
Connect Telegram in settings to get real-time notifications about proposals, messages and milestones — they also arrive in chat and by email. You can change what you receive at any time.
